
Andrea met the Rail Minister Paul Maynard MP yesterday to discuss improving services at Morley Station.
The issues highlighted were a lack of disabled access, limited parking options, poor lighting and a lack of ticket buying options.
The newly appointed Rail Minister listened intently to the concerns and offered suggestions, he went on to describe exciting new developments in the rail industry and how these will have a positive effect on Morley Station.
Andrea, who has been campaigning on this issue for three years will continue to meet key stakeholders to ensure that the issues surrounding Morley station are resolved.
Commenting on the meeting Andrea said:
“I am glad the government are taking the issues surrounding Morley station seriously.
“The Minister spoke about exciting new plans that will improve the station.
“I am organising meetings with involved stakeholders including the rail industry to ensure that there is clear progress on this issue.”
