Andrea was invited along to the Drighlington Community Library on Saturday to meet the volunteers and see for herself the fantastic work they do to keep this valuable community resource open.
The library reopened in 2012 as a community library completely run by its committed volunteers. Andrea thanked them for keeping the heart of the community beating and their efforts to preserve a magical place for future generations to enjoy reading.
Andrea said:
“The library is essentially a social hub for the whole community. I cannot thank the volunteers enough for their dedication and hard work.
“It is a fantastic resource and I was so pleased by the way the local community has clubbed together to keep it open.”
