Job and Skills Fair for Morley & Outwood

• SKY & Yorkshire Water will be exhibiting.
• The event will be opened by Sir Rodney Walker

Some of Morley and Outwood's best-known firms will be looking for local talent at a special jobs and skills fair tomorrow.
Organised by Conservative parliamentary candidate for Morley and Outwood, Andrea Jenkyns, the fair will take place at Morley Town Hall between 10am and 2pm on Tuesday, October 14, and has attracted some of the area's biggest businesses.
Workshops for jobseekers and businesses will form part of the fair, which will bring people looking for employment and chance to find work opportunities.
Miss Jenkyns said although unemployment is falling and the number of apprenticeships in Morley and Outwood is increasing, she wants to do more to the help those looking for work and those looking for workers.
"Although the Conservative-led Government's economic plan has boosted the economy and helped more people secure a regular wage for their families, there is still more to do," Miss Jenkyns said.
" What is important to me is that what is happening nationally is felt locally. The reason I have organised this job and skills fair to bring employers and potential employees face-to-face. "There are people in Morley and Outwood with the talent to succeed and this fair will bring them into contact with top class employers who can see their skills and help them realise their potential.
"The fair will also help those people find the right career path, such as apprenticeships, and provide them with the skills they need such as writing a CV, to move forwards."
Businesses signed up to take part in the fair so far include AWM Ltd and Corecom Consulting who are sponsoring the event and First Choice Recruitment and Intoo who are providing skills workshops.
For more details about the fair as a jobseeker or business, call Andrea Jenkyns on 07456 730999 or email [email protected]
