Today I took a break from campaigning to spend the day with my Mum, Sister and Neices on Mothers Day, and to spoil her with a bit of pampering.
I feel very lucky as my Mum is truly amazing (as was my dear departed Dad). Mum supports me through thick and thin, and she has been 'putting up' with me being back home again; having sold my house two years ago so I could afford to self-fund to be a full-time parliamentary candidate, I moved back home. My Mum is in her early seventies and has a new knee and she is remarkably active and is always on hand to look after my volunteers and I after a days campaigning with her sandwiches and cakes. So this brief post is to say thank you to my Mum and to wish all the Mothers out there a truly wonderful day and hopefully a well deserved rest.
I am sure that if the mothers of various nations could meet, there would be no more wars. (Quote by E. M. Forster)
