What a wonderful day Saturday, and the Morley Chamber and all the organisers deserve to be congratulated for a very enjoyable, engaging and fun day at the festival. There really was something for everyone; from encouraging people to get involved with sport and the chance to have a go at playing tennis, through to sampling local food, engaging with charities plus many more different stalls.
I had a stall at the festival too, and it was a great to have met so many people, to hear their views about things that are concerning them. I also launched my local Let Britain Decide campaign, I truly believe that us British people have the right to decide on our relationship with the European Union and whether we should be in or out. We need this referendum, after all it has been nearly forty years since we last had a say, and since then our relationship has changed dramatically from the common market and trading block, to the complex bureaucratic system that we have today that appears to lack accountability. That day we had nearly 100 signatures supporting the campaign to have a referendum. If you would like to sign the online petition please visit the following website: http://www.letbritaindecide.com/
It was also very good to have a stall next to the Morley Amateur Operatic Society, as a music teacher and singer we had some interesting chats, and I very much look forward to seeing their forthcoming show, for further details please visit their website; http://www.morleyaos.org.uk/
A big thank you to all my wonderful team of volunteers who turned out to support and help on the stall. I truly appreciate all your help, you are all invaluable.
