Andrea spent the weekend celebrating St George’s Day.
On Saturday Andrea set up a street stall on Morley high street at the St George’s Day Street Festival. Residents were able to discuss with Andrea issues, ranging from potholes to the EU Referendum, she handed out her newsletter and contact cards to make sure people were updated on the work she is doing locally and in parliament.
Andrea said:
“I have had a stall for the last three years and it is wonderful to see our businesses engage and get involved with the celebrations.
I am a proud and patriotic English woman and Yorkshire woman and I look forward to our St George's day celebrations all year.”
On Sunday Andrea was among the thousands of people who turned out to see St George on horseback where she met two lovely little girls Frankie and Georgia Hay who were enjoying their family day out.
Andrea said:
“The parade was wonderful, these celebrations create memories that children grow up to cherish”
“I am truly proud of our town which must be the most patriotic town in England.”
