Andrea will meet the Transport Minister Andrew Jones MP in July to discuss improving services at Morley Station.
Andrea was originally meant to meet with Rail Minister Claire Perry, but the meeting had to be rescheduled. The meeting was in response to a question Andrea asked about improving the station.
In the meeting on Tuesday 19th July Andrea and Andrew will discuss improving disabled access to the station, replacing the out-dated Pacer trains and improving the service pattern through Morley, making sure residents have a reliable, efficient service.
Commenting on the meeting Andrea said:
“Poor service through Morley is a major problem for our town. The station is not accessible and the infrastructure is antiquated.
“A frequent, reliable, modern service is essential to ensuring Morley’s future growth, and I’m delighted the Government is taking this seriously as part of the Northern Powerhouse.”
